I think everyone is waiting for me to do up my birthday post but i haven gotten around to do it up. So here it is.
The expensive wallet i got from my friends! Liddie did the wrapping for me.. it looks quite nice in the photos right?
And then there is my sis and lovely hweeling san's contribution.. my earpiece.
yes both of them decided to get earpiece for me even though i knew b4 hand hweeling wuld get it for me.. guess my sis was in the dark.. anyway i decided to use hweeling's first since my sis got the wrong kind which wun fit my mp3 player due to the smaller plug(?) i will try to keep my faithful mp3 till l'arc con in 2011 since it served me well.
anyways here are some other pics of other random stuff~!
my l'arc en ciel goods from Tokyo! They are really ex but i love them to bits.. esp the sticker. I've been playing with it non stop ever since i laid my paws on them.
Din do alot of things lately though.. i watched kungfu panda with erni last friday and we laughed our throats out. yar.. i can get sore throat laughing at panda. Oh i just remember wad i did last sat.
I went with this adventure walk with Liddie at Kranji. We had a great talk as usual but the walk was far from great. I went to the kranji reservoir during my year 3 sem1 and the site was quite pretty actually. But when we got there, the site was fenced up, and there were army ppl ard.. no thanks to Mas Selamat I suppose.. so as we were tracking along the road, we were quite scared that the army ppl will stop us and so we "zao". Plus the reservoir was closed also... scenic stuff = "buangz" So not satisfied with the walk, we decided to walk back to my place.. and it was just by this industrial road with cars n factorys and zero scenery.. alright... and we manage to turn at a wrong turning, walking further and further away from kranji mrt towards choa chu kang mrt.. yikes.. so we decided to give up when the bus came and take to CCK b4 catching the train home. hah.. Haven conquered the lake(?) near my house and JB! which will be our next task. hohoho! She came over and we had lunch at my hse with entertainment. I showed her CHANGE and she liked it alot despite my sweltering bedroom and i introduced her to Jousou Paradise which she says its sinful for these guys to look and dress up like girls. hahah But i think its farni to watch them and esp when they are not drags but just dressing up for tv sake.. u know wad i mean. its not their hobby to do that.
And den i went to Cash studios with Hweeling and sis this sat. We sang 4 hrs straight of Jap songs, complete with around 6-7 medleys too coz we ran out of time to go thru each and every song. The system in that place is similiar to the jap style where u have a book and u choose the songs from the book to sing. the book is organised to the top charts, by song names (i supposed for the famous ones) by artists, and by anime, genre and occasions. So fun! but searching the book, esp for not very good jap readers like me is a big headache. we had to think katakana for english names too but lucky the idols we like are hot stuff and they have a whole list of songs we instantly recognised (esp the eng names) so its L'arc and V6 for 4 hours.. I get the best of both worlds coz HL knows and like L'arc while my sis knows and like V6.. hahha so i sang the most.. and had to give up some in the process due to the sore throat developing as i sang.. no wonder hyde's throat is always sore.. hahaha... but its great fun except for the fact tt we saw the same mtv for 5-6 times lar.. no real pvs at all.. sigh~
oh and i went by the suntec games and animation fair.. so so cool~
The week has been a busy one.. but i still managed to buy 2 more V6's album, 6 new comics plus 4 aki mag from kino, a cooling pad for my lappy with a new mouse, give more money to my bro, ate jap for 3 times this week, (once with office, d and yesterday night with erni n sis) went to sing ktv (paying for sis n me)........wow.. alot of money just gone within this week.. hiak
I am super facinated with the ages of my idols.. it is very hard to imagine that they are of these ages.
Be-warned *massive fangirling*
I started looking up the ages and facts of the ppl i like but somehow never put them together side by side.. but when i did, the results are amazing.. Let's start off with the oldest... L'arc en ciel.. Nope they are not the oldest band in the history of Jrock with only a 17 yr history till date. Tetsu, the leader is born in 1969 as most can guess from his solo work. Hyde is of the same age too.. which makes them 39 in 2008. We can all see the age in Tetsu's face on un-photoshopped pictures (yah the eyebags.. yes the eyebags...........) but he went ahead and married this pretty young thing of 23 yrs old (uh huh.. my age) which gives them a age gap of about 16 years. Well, not a problem since Tetsu is very much young at heart looking at the banana throwing sessions and the bouncy thing he does (and not Ken) on stage. Hyde on the other hand don't look 39 at all.. sure it does showed that his skin is a little tight on the recent DID PV, but in his new band, Vamps, the way he pulled his hair into a braid like fashion (that makes him very much feminine) he looks just as young as ever. Oh plus he is also very much a child at heart too. =)
Gackt looked his age.. Though he had flawless complexion.. almost that of a mannequin or any squaresoft figures, it is easy to believe he is 35 (speculated that his birth yr was 1973) well.. i wait for the time he turns 50 and still look 35. but yes, his aging is more significant since his malice mizer days. And there was the forming of S.K.I.N.. of whom the youngest, Miyavi is only 27 (1981) plus the oldest, Yoshihiko who is 43 (1965) and Sugizo, 39... the age gap in between is 16 years.. the most i ever heard so far.. not to mention Yoshihiko is the founder of X Japan.. this really old Jrock band...
Speaking of age differences, V6 has an amazing age difference of 9 yrs between Sakamoto, 37 (1971) and Okada, 28 (1980).. well everyone looks their age, Nagano 36 (1972), Innochi 32 (1976), Morita 29 (1981) except for Miyake Ken who is also 29 (1981) but looks young enough to pass off as young 20+ or even blending in with the teenagers once in school uniform. Okada and Morita on the other hand had this fetish for moustache which made them looked older.. Okada in a haggard fashion while Morita in a bad-ass fashion.
The group Arashi feels lots younger than V6 but in actual fact, the oldest of the group, Ohno 28 (1980) is the same age as the youngest in V6. Being with the younger does helps huh.. Much less to say MatsuJun is already 25 (1983) when i only saw him in Gokusen 2-3 years back when he was 19 but still acting as a high school student. But overall the group feels their age which means to say I am getting old too.. *paranoid*
I was watching KimuTaku recently and did a spot check on SMAP to realise that this group which seemed much older than V6 is surprisingly even younger than Sakamoto. The oldest is Nakai, 36 (1972) whom i suspect is old. But Kimura is the close second, also 36 (1972) which sort of surprised me. I've been watching him as i grew up with jap dramas but he manage to not age at all.. the face he had now and more than 10 years back (refering to Long Vacation in 1996 which is 12 years back and Love Generation in 1998 which is 10 yrs back) is the same with the addition of eyebags and a few lines (yes the dreaded eyebags. they really should quit smoking) Yes he still looks ridiculously young to be a Prime Minister even if he was casted as his age, or old enough to be the oldest son with a child of 5. But of course this guy is happily married with 2 daughters.. *amazing* Goro looked the oldest in the group and i always thought he was the leader but he is only 35 (1973) and Kusanagi 34 (1974) also feels much older than his age now. Shingo was the most shocking of all. I din expect him to be only 31 (1977) though his looks is on par with Innochi.
About misc ppl like Tamaki Hiroshi, he is 28 (1980) but recently still acting as a university student, though he does looked older in Shikaotoko as a teacher. Whereas Fujiki Naohito, 36 (1972) is on par with Kimura too in terms of looks.
Onto girls, the only 2 shocking ones are Amuro Namie, 31 (1977) and Hamasaki Ayumi, 30 (1978) who are around forever since I started watching Jap stuff.. but I thought they will be much much older given their popularity though of coz they dun look so. I thought Nagase from TOKIO was old cos of the yakuza roles he played all the time, but he is also 30 (1978) like Ayumi. But Namie really is the shocking one, having a son of 10 yrs old (1998) and still looks very much like my age..
In reality, there are also ppl who dun look like their age.. like Uncle in my office.. he is 32 this yr i believe but the 32yr old mother in my office with a daughter age 5 looked younger though motherly (amuro dun looked motherly) and the closest in line is another architect aged 30 who still look like a couple of yrs only older than me. the 2 draughtsmen who graduated from poly always feels older than me but in actual fact, we are of the same age and the other 2 yrs older. whereas i am finishing my uni education, they have not even started yet. But the one i find legendary is this girl of age 26. she started poly at 17 i guess, finished at 20, went to uni and finished at 21 (bachelor degree but i am 23 now and just gotten a hons) worked for this firm for 5 yrs (i cannot even imagine i am in school for close to 4 yrs liao) and recently changing to working part time as she feels that aki is not her way to go.. and is getting married at the end of this year.. we are only 3 yrs apart and she looked like my age.. woot
here i am, at the age of 23, surrounded by working friends earning the pay i will get in 5 yr's time, still fangirling like no one's business. And i haven even included the age when those boys joined the JE agency. haha same age and different worlds apart.
okie a meaningless little post.. but its still amazing to look at the significance of these ages.
I ought to blog a few days ago but I was busy... 10% of the time doing dissertation seriously and 20% of the time encouraging myself to start on dissertation work.. and the rest of the time giving myself silly rewards like watching dramas... so yar.. busy lar.. hah
I had a wonder be-earlied bdae celebration with my JC clique members.. All except one turned up and though the party was far from being smashing, it was enjoyable.
We had our preplanned picnic in ktv.. with my egg mayo sandwiches.. minus all the hotdogs, nuggets and stuff i saw on the food list. Need i mention how cheated i feel? Anyway, they enjoyed the sanwiches so i fogive them all for leaving me foodless.. (lucky i prepared my portion too) So missing a trip to the botanical gardens (I swear i know ALL the plants there by heart...うそう!), and also the night safari (I knew its neighbour, the zoo by heart too.. no only the entrance for that one) due to the rains, we ended up in downtown east, which wasn't too bad a location since i take 1 hr anyway to travel anywhere, to sing ktv.. of which i paid $11.80 to sing 3 jap songs and a couple of other songs for chorus only. We had Gelare.. which i din really wanted but I still ate my worth of choc cake and ice cream (thanks for the treat ^^ ) and we managed to talk till my mum reminded me that it wasn't early anymore.
As i had mention, I had a new wallet.. very nice, posh and stylish =) Love it coz it looked grand and is of very good quality. And a special thanks to Liddie and Rubin for picking out the present for me, and especially to Rubin for いろいろreasons. ごくろさまでした!ありがとうございました!i hope it will last me for a few years to prove its value worth. =)
So after we set off to the interchange.. i noticed that the time wasn't early anymore, but the girls still wanted to talk and we ended up at macs.. a night full of cockroaches begun with the toilets infested with them, and being scared off by them at macs and おかげさまでhweeling san put me up at her place for the night. so on the way back, we fought off a couple more b4 reaching her house safe and sound. With dilbert and L'arc, we fan-girled them till 4.30am and i could not take it anymore esp when i had no drama to watch and my mind is shutting down every few mins. But the overnight was more fun than Hongkong and i am really glad to be able to talk to Hweeling san for so long. Just like those days in Myanmar. ちょっと嬉しかったでした。また今度やってましょう!
そうですね。The next event was Prince Capsian night with Liddie. Liddie was so into Prince Caspian while i prefered King Peter the Magnificant that we fangirled the entire show together. It was not bad.. enjoyable with her handsome Prince Caspian and my charming King Peter, with beautiful Griffins(?) and animals.. oh and my little rat mouse thingy. I adore rodents after keeping so many before. And the highlight of the show was the winning smile Peter gave to the Narnians to assure them of his confidence of winning the match. Other than that, i thought the show was rather depressing with war and death.. and apparently lesser cg than the last time (?) I din watch the 1st so i couldn't really follow.
What happened after the show was the hilarious highlight of the night itself. Liddie was urgent and we ran out to the bathroom and refusing to walk thru the area where they check ur tickets, we confidently stride our way to the escape stairways. I swear if i were a RI, i will MAKE SURE all escape doors open somehow. So we went down the stairs, thinking at least the ground floor is opened when we realised that some of the doors were locked.. and all the way up again when all failed. we couldn't open a single door, and there is no Hyde waiting for me on the other side of the doors either.. so that was 7 stories down and 7 up again. I was utterly breatheless when we got back up. All it took was a thicker skin layer and the guts to go throu that small gateway with 2 workers. Yes I am in super bad shape.
I went to the PC fair with Ash today to get laptop specs, and a young boy approached us thinking Ash and i are still in school. =) well of course i am but Ash isn't so i had a great time teasing her about it. Haha.. the poor boy was so nervous talking to us too.. his leaflet was trembling in his hands but we din get it from him in the end. But it made me giddy and late for the meeting with Wittkopf and I really must say I am starting to hate dissertation. うまく出来たいですけど。。。
At night was d's bdae celebration, so we went to O'Leary's at the Singapore flyer to eat.. The food was barely ok and very little in proportion. Liddie! 你骗我!and we paid a lot for it. hur. We got him his bdae gift on the spot too (内相です!)and had desert at Starbucks.. so now i am suffering from choc overdose and stomach indigestion as the bdae boy refuse to finish the cake. but seriously, the dark mocha frappucino was damn good.
okie more talk n pics soon
Dun need to read unless u are really for it and feeling like reading.
At starbucks, we had a more serious discussion on the topic of vegetarians and worklife. D was saying animal lovers are against the notion of eating the meat of animals.. (it all started with this big shot whom i dunno was a big shot) and i din think it should be that way. We had the same discussion at home coz my sis decided to turn vegetarian like my mum on the 1st and fifteen of the lunar month. Our relatives are true blue vegetarians and another friend eats only fish and vegetables and refrained from meat. All these talks about taking lives and poor animals are rubbish to me. I think the way of the Christians (no i am not one) are more understandable though. Like all know, they give thanks for the food GOD puts on their table. Which is similiar to what i think - we should be thankful for the meat we eat as it is in exchange for a life. 命をとって、肉をたべて、その肉に感謝してのほがいい。 It is more sinful to waste meat than to take a life. It doesn't mean that taking lives are good, but taking only the amount you need, no more and not being wasteful is the key point in respecting lives and as well as animals. I hate to waste food so u can hardly see me with half uneaten food on my plate. There are many beliefs of why man should not eat animals but even plants have a life. Who is to say that the life of an animal is superior to that of a plant, so eating plants are okay but not animals? This debate will go on forever but i will just leave it at this.
We went on to the topic of work.. they seemed surprised when i said that i din want to work at my current firm anymore. I was telling Liddie about this and she can understand me.. so i feel 驚きましたwhen友達に理解をくれませんでした I am on good terms with almost everyone in the office. I can tell who i like and dislike in the company as every one is straightforward and not scheming. It is easy to read them.. see their emotions and understand what kind of person they are.. but the only person i cannot read well is my Boss.. of couse yes he is the boss mah. i cannot surpass him in terms of this, but it makes me wonder all the time what is he thinking of. The difference between sarcastic or joking. The difference of lamenting and scolding. It gives me very little assurance of what i am doing is correct and if i continue working in the firm, the stint of "the intern" will never come off as easily or so what i feel. I feel stuck if i were to remain in the comfort zones all the time (yes i was born to take pains.. this is what aki trained me to do) there are so many things that ticked me off but i will never say because they are my friends and i am not a straightforward person. And lately, I am decreasingly taking things in stride. A small remark said will leave damaging effects on me.. it made me think of the incident in JC. Every time i thought of this incident, I will wonder why to myself, why did i breakdown? Especially in front of other people? Perhaps small accumulations of stuff and the fact that people i like very much are saying hurtful things in a playful manner to me hurts alot even though it was a joke. I can take certain jokes in stride.. but hurtful ones and repeatative ones really gets to me. I guess i am one who will only grow better with praises so working with my female boss had been far enjoyable than with my male boss. Its hard to put into words but my gut feel tells me its not good to continue this. Yes i might return one day but until that day comes and i am needed, no, its very hard for me to work there.
the topic of what i want to do also came up. As u all know, i am super infactuated with the world of Japan. I wanted to LIVE there, and i had been wanting to do so for about half me life up till now. It was my dream to be able to work there for a year or two, gaining what i had missed out due to school and financial capabilities all these while. ok zz time i shall con't another fine day

PS: on an even happier note, my pamphlet and the silly baggage tape is on an airplane coming soon yippee!
its time i settle my feelings to blog. been bugging hweeling for the past few days for wad little news on laruku that i am positive she will put me on her hate list soon.. so i begin my story all over again after the air tickets incident (refer to somewhere near beginning of april)
after settling the tickets to hongkong, we begun the search for accommodations.. since its a real budget trip, we considered hostel like places.. except we had no idea how it looked like at all... but after a long long ding dong, hweeling n I settled for this USA hotel thingy and paid for the cheap cheap deposit..
i wasn't able to get into the mood of seeing l'arc finally and for the first time since settling accommodations n tix... and the feeling continued to the day i was suppose to leave for hk.. but even then i only felt the jitters of going abroad.. not the excitment i thot i will have esp i am going to hk specially just to see them (given a choice, i wun choose hk)
that morning, after the extremely expensive cab ride to the airport, i met Rei for the first time in my life.. only having talked to her thru msn, email and a phonecall or 2, i manage to pick and single her out from the crowd of ppl based on her msn photo only. Hweeling and Lorraine arrived slightly after we checked in. And the 4 of us begun our little adventure, trekking across land and ocean to see L'arc en ciel.
On the plane, i was with Rei.. we saw beautiful skies outside the plane and the hours passed in a flash.. well not really.. it was a long 3-4 hr flight and i basically slept till i got the cramps in the seat. Trying to study l'arc's songs to no avail. Once we alighted at the hk airport, we were ushered into the check in pt on the airport bus. Got Krispy Creme to fill our empty stomach and off we went to collect the precious tickets for our L'7 tour =) Upon reaching the ticket pick up point, the rest went into a frenzy taking pictures of the pinned up posters. The un-high me was just looking on their actions feeling amused. And den its the trip on the airport shuttle bus to kowloon area.. Tsim Sha Tsui where we stay since its the cheapest of all alternatives.
We reached our "hotel" in no time as Lorraine and i spent the full hr spazzing on our other likes which includes Arashi and V6 and many other Johnny members and even Sanzo. Our spazzing times usually will reach up to an hr everytime we spazz so its a joy talking to her. So upon reaching, the sight of the place made our hearts sank.. and the place is in shambles literally.. a cross between lucky plaza and chinatown old complex with metal gates and lots of shops. its a very multifunctional place and i recalled seeing a university on the 5th floor.. anyway we had to queue up to use the lift.. and it was bloody small.. it looks like the place where crime happens all the time and without further ado, we reached 13th flr, where the USA hotel is supposedly located. So during check in time, the lady of the place stress on the fact that the room we booked is not very good and there are better rooms available for us. They led us to the 9th flr (w/o luggage.. we sort of left it on the 13th and i thought if we are really rob den that will be the end of this trip... a v bad decision to make) and to this dingy looking room. he actually knocked on the door before entry and ask the person inside (yes i noe.. wtf right??) to open the door.. but it turned out that there was no one inside. We were scared to see censored stuff too.. hah.. and the room looked..dismayed.. a grey glow of light filled the room with unmade beds, a sock at the end of one and un eaten cup noodles with a broken shower head.... and we decided to look at the more ex room..
the corridor leading to that room was brighter.. infact so bright that it looked like party world the ktv lounge.. and lo and behold, the new room was a double bed with 2 singles... working facilities and a pot of flowers.. a much cleaner feel.. and we went out again to check the pricing.. they charge us 2200HKD on top of the 31SGD i paid for deposit.. and it works out to be 100+SGD for 3 nights per pax instead of the 80+ for 3 nights.. but seemingly the girls feel better with the brighter room so we took the 100 buck package.. I suggested Anne black with more space but they prefer own toilet. well i dun mind actually.. the things are in generally good working conditions in the room except the occasional faulty door, the unclosed window that took me forever to close, the a little dirty bedsheets plus the weird stained towels, the transparent frost print window that looks out to another window and we taped it with paper.. and the lesser den my feet size corridor to get to another bed plus the general lack of space to put luggage. yupz other than these it was swell to spend 3 nights in hongkong with 2 other strangers and hweeling =) i feel very brace after this episode in life.
we went to eat and off to causeway bay to window shop.. actually we only had vivenne westwood in mind when we set off so all the way there with lorraine to buy her necklace.. we sort of made the person took out alot of stuff too and yes, the necklace i had my eyes on cost 3650HKD. it was beautiful =) and den off to mongkok to continue shopping.. Rei and Hweeling got left behind choosing their shopping items while me and lorraine walked faster (i dun shop and the clothes dun really appeal to her) so as a guide and consultant the shopping business went on longer till lorraine had to meet her friend for dinner and i brought them to eat and den ladies market and back to argyle center to shop again till 11.
we made our way back to the hotel after not being able to meet up with lorraine, to find the front lift not working anymore and have to use the back lift instead.. and there was a group of 3 foreigners who went in with us and looked high on either alcohol or drugs.. urgh.. yes it was a dangerous place and we feared for lorraine's safety but she came back in one piece.
the next day was disneyland for lorraine and wetlands park for us 3.. not till we had KFC for breakfast and it was cheap n good =) we went to the wetlands via the trains, changing at lai chee kok park and den on the light rail to the wetlands park. I've been there before and there are very few birds that day for some unknown reasons, but i still love it there.. we roam the outdoor park for 2-3 hrs? and then the indoor one for 1.5hrs? and had lunch at 4.30pm. the park closes at 5 i think so off we went in search of a bus so that Rei can sleep in peace to the next destination. On the bus, HL and i were wide awake till nearing our destination and den we got off at Olympic station to find her colleague.
Den it was a rush down to the avenue of stars to see the light up of hongkong buildings.. but it wasn't a very nice show.. just lights to the tempo of the music and we were too busy snapping photos to see anyway. the photos are a disaster btw.. no stable hands.. remind me to bring my tripod next time round. and den we went to the shopping mall to snap a few more pics of old models of cars before heading back and dropping by sasa first.
HL's relatives wanted to meet her at our hotel but we were rather late and after accompanying hweeling down to wait for a rather long time, we called them to ask for their whereabouts and later to ask for a hp no. it was den we realised that they went to another hotel to look for us.. a proper one as such.. and after we met them finally, we showed them the way into our dingy hotel room where they stayed a little and we ate rochers.
On the day of the con itself, i was rather worried about the con goods, but the rest assured me that we can make it in time so we went on a dimsum spread breakfast.. not having enough cash to spare, we paid by card but it was still rather cheap in relation. den off to the museum to look ard as per recommended by her relatives but it was a sore sore disappointment and the only fun thing we did that morning was pose in front of beibei jingjing huanhuan yingying and nini. i was yingying, the yellow ranger as per suggested by lorraine and acted the unique pose of her. haha..
den it was a long trek to the tram to the peak and yes, that was another disappointing place.. esp since we din go into the museum.. but the tram ride was v cool, almost roller coaster feel and stupidly, me and lorraine din get seats, so we stood against gravity, flexing our arm muscles in order not to flatten the woman behind me. i think i hit her alot of times. opps.
and by the time we got to the venue, it was slightly after 4pm when the sales started and we couldn't find a way into the queue for christ's sake.. so we went round n round looking for the entrance to the queue till we stumbled across this flight of steps to go down and i hear sounds from inside. after dismissing the claims of a ktv lounge, i peered into darkness, thinking i heard "killing me" and I SAW THEM. the big projection screen had their faces! and the stage lights are bursting! THEY ARE SOUNDCHECKING! omg! all along i heard stories of being able to hear them sound check, but i never heard stuff of being able to see them soundcheck except in documentaries. Being a sucker for behind the scenes stuff, i was enjoying myself thoroughly peeking on them. Hyde was in shades and a black t shirt while the rest i only remembered them in plain outfits. even yuki, who looked the plainest that night. for the first time thoughout this trip, i was feeling the estacy of seeing them. =) and so i filmed them for a while before the troop of honkies came and scared the shit out of us me for i thought they were authorities coming after us. we chatted abit and kept this little secret to ourselves and left to find the queue entrance again to no avail. We asked the sercurities and found out that they sealed off the entrance as there are far too many ppl already.
leaving hweeling and rei behind, me and lorraine embarked on a very long journey around to find a way in but we failed as we got spotted by staff.. er.. yar.. and so there n back again.. it was until 6.30 then they open the gates for us to queue for goods again and the pamphlets were sold out then. disappointing. but i manage to get badges and a poster. rei helped me got another set of badge to give away =) so i gave her the hongkong one in return. by the time we got our goods, its time to go in and we check in our stuff hurriedly at the counter before breaking into a small run to our seats. The areana looked smaller than on map and i really felt grateful that hweeling manage to spot loopholes and we changed seats. hweeling san ga daisuki! *cheers* the concert took a bit long to start.. even as i was recording the concert, the announcement was real long.
i cannot recall any details of the concert.. think my brainpower focused too much on jumping, shouting/ screaming and looking that i forgot to churn on the memory part of the brain.. so for a good con review, go to this page
http://www.laruku.com/index02.html
other than that, the misc thing that made me very happy was the fact that i was a guy and a railing and less than 5m away from hyde n tet =) and that i had never workout so much b4. seriously, if u feel normal workouts are boring, try a l'arc con workout =^^=
this is exactly what i saw except for the fact tt its frontal view while mine is side.
and the highest point that night.
plus i recorded audio, so here are a few to share.
we ended the concert feeling shacked n sick and tired... headed straight for hotel to concuss.. but after reaching the hotel, we were high once more and chated half the night away. esp since hweeling took longer den expected to remove her contacts, we ended up chatting in whispers till 3am and i waited for her and feeling quite awake after bedtime.
next morning was checkout, and the ladies took quite some time to be done, so we had brunch at mongkok, ordered my tons of lao po bings and check out sino center. SIno center is a haven. really, it is choked full of jap stuff tt i went on a roll looking at them. magazines, cds, vcds, dvd, artists, dramas, anime, figurines, posters, goods.. u name it they have it. omg i wuld visit it daily if i live there. there is just sooooooooooo many things there to look see and absorb.. i was v happy i made a fuss seeing my sino center. hehee.. and i just realise the guitar picks i got from there are official goods.. in a set.. but they sold it individually for 30HKD and 15HKD respectively when i can get it for 5USD? for a set.. urgh.. cheated. But rei and HL got their posters as well.. so all is good.
and den after their shopping at mongkok, nope i was waiting dake.. shld have bought a jap mag to read.. we rush back to the hotel.. had a little accident with lorraine's bag and off to the airport where the line to check in was LONG and rei n lorraine ran to get doughnuts while me and HL check in.. from there it was run run run to the plane.. we were late but not the last.. =) saw the gorgeous moon on the plane after spazzing with lorraine again. it looked like a golden egg melting into the clouds.. i will never forget that view and tons of shining lights below. they looked like stars. so pretty but rei says they are ships.. so wadever they are, the sky must be damn clear to see them. but it was lightning on rei's side of the plane though.
AFTERMATH
so i am still in the L'arc fever ever since i came back.. marvelled at the way ppl write the songs n their feelings for each song.. i focus on the entire experience more. =) been listening non stop to the recording i did and i smiled or mouth wadever we shouted in response to hyde still. hehee.. trying to understand the cantonese they spoke to no avail, and i was kinda sad when i heard people cheering when he mention the earthquake in sichuan.. not that the ignorant me din do so too.. he looked irritated and shocked in the news video too.. must have thought that we were idiots who scream to his every sentence.. hurrr..
i also realised that we were so so so close to him so many occasions that we still manage to miss them completely.
1) he was staying at intercontinental hotel the night he blog about his bathroom. we are 10 mins walk away living in our lok kok hotel and actually seeing the same night view as him the exact same night.. just tt his was later..
2) they arrived on friday.. we are in town to "welcome" them, but no we are looking at birds instead...
3) they left the same day as we did... but we are busy buying lao po bings and shopping and buying doughnuts..
4) the sissy guy who interviewed tet n ken (and mixed up their names) is on tv every night.......i switched channels when i saw him...
5)i bought apple daily to look for news of l'arc... but no they are in hong kong economic times instead.....grr..... i think apple daily only featured them on mon...
and since i din get enuff con goods, i am now actually spending 140 bucks to get the pamphlet and a baggage tape to be shipped to s'pore from japan. good lords.
ok one hell of a long entry.. more pics to come hopefully

On the way home in the plane with lorraine ^^ v
Its been another long period of time of no blogging.. simply because of the preperation to embark on this hongkong trip.
As many may have know, I went to hong kong only recently.. on the 22nd May 2008, i embarked on the trip to hongkong yet again for a very special event.. L'arc en ciel's concert live in hongkong. This is my first concert by an idol that i at least like with all my heart and the first concert i attended overseas.. so the memories are very dear to me. Just a brief highlight of the night that made my heart ドキドキしました。
1) On the crazy search for ways to join the queue, we chance upon the fire escape stairs of the arena.. and almost left when my friend protested that it sounded like a cheesy ktv lounge.. but i refuse to believe esp since i thought i heard a familiar song.. so i confirmed it when i saw the lighting and hyde on the big screen in shades and plain clothes... SOUND CHECKING! omg! i swear this was the 2nd highest peak in the night. being a kpo by nature, backstage entice me much much more than performance. We were on the high.. or rather I was on the high since some of my friends are bothered by the bad singing and spoilers for the later con. And later joined by this hk group of fans too.
2) To be on tet's side of the stage. My eyes are either trailing hyde or tetsu the whole night. Tet's hair is so so so nice~ and yes there are a million of tet's fans on this side too. We were so close to the stage that i couldn't believe it. they are actually visible by naked eye!
3) Fan service by both tet and hyde. Hyde or tet usually bounces to our side of the stage more, but my exhilaration rate peaked when hyde and tet bounced over + hyde with his arm over tet and singing + making it 2nd to the railing (i had an evil thought of pushing the guy next to me away) + being within 5 meters away from the pretty boys + I CAN SEE their pretty faces without the big screen nor the binoculars = totally bombastically high.
4) Hyde fanservicing more in front of ken's camera.. in describable
5) The way they all tried to peek at help sheet when speaking in canto.. i cannot understand anything but it was cute to look at them.
overall it was a worth it experience and i loved every second of it + the every second i recorded down too ;P
